Back to 1989
Chance upon this old Taiwanese drama on this Netflix. 27 year old Chen Che has an unhappy childhood, raised by a single mom, who refused to tell him who his father. He had a heated argument with his mom about his father's identity. It didn't end well and on his way home, he got transported to 1989 and met head on with this lady Zhen Zhen. From there, things slowly uncovered the reasons why he got back to 1989, one year before his birth. He met his young mom, before she was pregnant with him. He got to know her in a way he has never discover. He saw that carefree smile which he never saw. It delicately portrayed the struggle of unwed mothers, the family warmth in the Ye family. I love the lines in the the drama, mostly tugged my heartstrings. I love how conflicts have resolution in the end. And how Chen Che, using his wisdom, was able to talk sense and resolve conflicts.
